The King

A thousand men felt my thunder blade
My sword swept a win unmatched,
cut to pieces those lost lives
I chaired my royal throne studded with flesh and bone,
washed with the blood of my enemy.
I rule every ailing heart who lost their
husbands, brothers, children to the thirst of my sword.
They bow me,I am the king
They praise me,I am the lord
But those gruelling hearts and their loved dead never forget,
The slaughter I did
The pain I caused.
I am the emperor.

When wisdom knocked my inner-self and said:
"what bliss is battle to mankind?"
I hung my head low
I burried my face in shame
My sins have taken toll
I've seen my chariot fall
I see my royal palace taken over
I see my body chopped and
blood gushing from my bloody veins
I've seen my men fall down
I see my kingdom come down
No regrets,my sins taken toll
I am a dead man in the way to hell
My tale,a story of blood and war
My kingdom, a thing of history
They forget the king
They remember the devil.
No regrets,My sins have taken toll
